What is the Goal?

Daily, I sit at my computer pounding out words of encouragement, curriculum for B.A.D University or helping others with their businesses; at the end of the day I ask myself, what is the goal?

In my finance blog, I talk about setting goals you can accomplish but each day I end asking if I've done that, not only for myself but for others as well.

Today, I received an epiphany in the form of a question: WHAT IS THE GOAL???

The end result in life no matter what you are doing is 1. do what God has said to do and 2. Get to heaven.

There are other smaller goals that need to be accomplished along the way, but the end GOAL is more serious and if you are not getting close to that you should be afraid of what God can do.

Think about it lades, what is the GOAL?

Ways to be B.A.D. #23: You are a Queen

Ladies, never under estimate your true potential in the lives of those around you, and YOU! You are a queen. I have a charm on one of my necklaces that I have had for years, and it says black princess, but I'm a queen. I keep it because it was one of the things that reminded me of my worth. ONCE YOU CAN GRASP ON TO ONE THING, you can go higher

BUT WE ARE ALL QUEENS. Even as mothers, we hold our heads high; we tackle more things than men do because we hold ourselves at a HIGHER STANDARD, and get through, when it seems like we cant' even get TO!

 Consider Hadassah who became Esther, but not only Esther, but QUEEN ESTHER. She remembered her faith, respected herself, her heritage and her husband. He revered her and LOVED ON HER LIKE WE ALL WANT OUR HUSBANDS TO LOVE ON US.

Ways to be B.A.D #19: Do Not Bury Your Talents

There comes a time where you will have to do what is necessary, but not logical. Every time I talk to one of my men-tees, or those that are part of my assignment, I let them know that God gives us something to build on and share with others. When you don't use what you are supposed to, you are basically burying your talents.

Take for example for your life the scripture about the 10 talents; Matthew 25: 14-30. Of all the talents that were given out, there was one that buried his out of fear. Fear of the unknown. We all go through that point in our lives where we know that we have something good, but because of fear, we don't move into that GREATER DESTINY.

Destiny. Your destiny. Your talents

God didn't give us a spirit of fear. Why do we find it so easy to walk in what is unnecessary and prohibiting our growth? You ahve to be so determined for greater that you will walk SCARED. I remember the words someone said to me once, that I keep in my mind: we have to have so much fear that we will move.

Why hesitate? Don't bury your talents. d

There is someone waiting on you to do what GOD SAID, but they can't move because you haven't moved.

I sit here in my office today and I look at two buildings I should have in my possession right  now and I don't. I was too scared to make the calls that would give me the opportunity to have those buildings.

No more fear. If you know you buried those talents, DIG THEM UP!!

Ways to be B.A.D. #10: Use Your Resources

Everyday I am faced with the challenges of using what I know to get what I want. Sometimes I look at life and say I just can't do this right now, but then I look at my goals and say, I just can't NOT DO THIS RIGHT NOW.

I want growth in my life, and I want to build on leaving a legacy for my family. Now, I am in my 40's but as long as God gives me breath, I can handle this. So with that, USE YOUR RESOURCES.

What are you resources? Look around at what you want and what you desire; what do you need to obtain those desires. For one, you have to have a good prayer life, and, then 2, you need move in what God says to do. The problem with some, is that they are waiting on God to give instructions in a normal way, when actually you can't expect that. He is SUPERNATURAL; omnipotent. He can do things WAY BETTER than others can; than man can.

What are you resources?

• talking
• teaching
• cooking
• planning
• couponing
• reading

These may not look like resources to you, but think about it: being a reader will make you a reviewer for a writer or author. Being a writer you can create a blog sharing your expertise on cooking. Being a talker can help maximize your potential at being a speaker, write, and an expert.

Ways to be B.A.D. #6: Help Others

There are times in life that you have to know that you can be helpful. You have to know that with and in all your resources, you can help others. Its not about selling what you have or bringing people in to be members of your church/ministry; its about sharing what you know and not looking for anything in return.

God has given us many tools; these things come in the form of gifts and talents. What are you doing to share those use those tools?

If God is in you, dwelling in you not only for YOUR GOOD, but HIS GLORY, you should be reaching back the same way you reached out. The same way you asked, someone is asking of you. Are you ready for the blessings if you truly aren't blessing others?

Ways to be B.A.D. #5: Know Whose You Are

Everyday you wake up is not by some strength of your own. You are God's child so HE WAKES YOU UP.

You didn't hear the alarm, because you still have your hearing; many times there are people who's alarms go off and they hear nothing. GOD ALLOWS YOU TO HEAR THE ALARM. So this day, now that you are up, realize whose you are, and take full advantage of being thankful for that.

There are times you think God has forgotten about you, but your B.A.D self is walking, talking, thinking, and on this side of life, so you are GOD'S CHILD. Throughout the day, the enemy may try to distract you, or move you to the left, but I"m here to tell you there is opportunity to stay on God's side!

When you take a moment to realize where you are, than you can allow yourself to see things in a different light. In the past few days, I have had to recognized that I have more in me than I did about a year ago; I have to face the challenges of everyday and do what is necessary for my next set of instructions.

I am B.A.D. and I am a child of God.

Ways to be B.A.D. #3: Study Your Bible

Every time we attend fellowship services, we hear the Pastor say STUDY TO SHOW THYSELF APPROVED; He's talking about the Bible, but some people say WHAT AM I STUDYING? Then they say, what are they studying for?

First, know the scripture completely:

2 Timothy 2:15King James Version (KJV)

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

This full verse says, a workman (servant), that needet not be ashamed(for the spiritual choices you make), rightly dividing the word of truth(knowing the real from the fake; the lie from the truth). 

See, we only hear part of the verse. We have to know the FULL TRUTH, but that comes from studying. You need to know who you are and you'll find it in the word. 

So what do you as you study? You ask God to give you revelation and clarity of what you are reading. You ask God to show you what to read and why. You put God first, and He'll teach you. You can't study without a teacher. #catchthat

Motherly Wisdom #30: Mom's are secret agents

Yes, Mom's are secret agents. The troublesome part you must accept is that we're WORSE THAN THE MAFIA! (I'm giving away secrets here)



Let me tell you, with all the hood language I can muster: MOM'S HAVE EVERYONE ON SPEED DIAL. Whether its police, school teachers, spies, majors, presidents, etc. Yes, we have it. This Rolodex is not public, but always accessible.

• When it comes to our kids and their well being, we can make life look a mess, or perfect w/o flinching. 
• We can sneak on school grounds unnoticed because we have cars at out finger tips (and no they aren't rentals!
• We can pull money out of an hat because we call in favors
• We can have our sons and daughters followed...

Okay I"m done. We're secret agents..that's all you're getting.

Motherly Wisdom #25: Mama Trusts God; Jump on the Bandwagon

A faith filled life is beneficial for you. Why? God controls everything; that's why. Mama trusts GOD.

Walking WITH GOD is better than WALKING WITHOUT HIM. There is too much going on right now in our world to live without him. Even though your life has been questionable, if you are reading this right now, you have a chance to repent and get on the right path. Let me tell you, I wasn't always where I am right now, but I"m thankful that God didn't let go of me. I must also share that walking this walk as a ministry leader has been lonely, but I won't stop walking.

See, as MAMA, I' won't let go of my faith filled, loving relationship with GOD, because I know where I want to end up, when HE CALLS ME HOME. I trust God, because during those times I was hungry, he fed me. During those times, that I was looking for answers, HE SENT THEM. During those times I thought I couldn't make it, HE WAS THERE TO MAKE SURE I DID.

See, you have to TRUST GOD, because you already BELIEVE IN THE DEVIL. What? What's that MAMA DANA? Yes, you already believe in the devil. Everything you do that you know isn't right, IS PROOF THAT YOU KNOW EVIL EXISTS, you just don't realize how GOOD AND BAD come together to test your mental, FAITH BASED capabilities.

So, there you have it. JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON and TRUST GOD TOO!

Motherly Wisdom #24: There is a reason you don't have keys

Most children have keys to their parents house. Some of them don't; there is a reason for that. What is the reason? TRUST!

Just because she birthed you doesn't mean she trusts you. Why? Somewhere down the line, your LOST YOUR MIND. Lost it. Do you think she wants your empty body roaming around her house? There is no reason why MAMA should give you a set of keys, and then have to lock her bedroom door.

When you run the streets, stay there!

Another reason why you don't have keys, is because you trust everyone OUT THERE more than you RESPECT MAMA IN HERE. Yes there is a reason you don't' have keys. Mama doesn't want just ANYBODY IN HER HOUSE, and she can't trust YOU to respect that.

Now some of you do have keys. Why? Mama can trust you. Think about your life as you were growing up and you can really get an answer on why or why not, in regards to the keys.

There is always a REASON!

Motherly Wisdom #23: The wife is submissive to the husband

Very short and to the point: WIVES YOU SUBMIT TO YOUR HUSBAND ONLY. This is the husband that God sent, because your hubby is submitting and obeying GOD. This the husband that cleaves to you and leaves his parents. THIS IS THE HUSBAND THAT PUTS YOU SECOND TO GOD..not anyone else.

You don't submit to your parents, or HIS; you don't' put the KIDS FIRST or anyone else. 

Yes, you better stay on your knees, in prayer,  for your husband because you don't have time to play with God. Stay on your knees for your husband, because he needs you in the background to help him press through the front. Stay on your knees for your husband, because he is the head.

Your husband is the one God sent to take care of home, build you up and support you. Don't disrespect your husband or you'll be disrespecting God.

Motherly Wisdom #22: I told you so!

There is nothing like stepping back and watching things unfold exactly like you said it would. I mean truly we don't want to say I told you so, but it happens. I watch my children ignore what I say, or just say okay Mom, but then after about 2 or 3 weeks, I find out it happened just like I said. I try  not to laugh, but I just WAIT FOR IT.

Our purpose and plans, as parents, is to teach and hope that our children grasp on to what is necessary for their lives. If they decide that they don't want to do what MAMA says, that's fine. But when they keep getting a bloody nose, because they keep hitting a brick wall, just hand them the towel and keep walking. 

No, I'm not trying to be mean. I'm being honest. The truth shall set you free! If my mother wasn't so mean about the truth, I might have listened as I got older, but that's another lesson on the couch with the LORD. 

None the less, try not to tell them I TOLD YOU SO. Just wait for it!

Motherly Wisdom #18: Stop Running from Your Mother

You will never win brownie points with God running from your mother. Why in the world do you keep running from instruction anyway?

What does the fourth commandment say? Honor Your father and MOTHER?  Come on now! If you want to die tomorrow, keep running. 

You don't have time question everything your parents say or do, unless it is against the word of God, unless you're ready to look death in the face. Stop running from your mother and what she's suggesting you do; give her honor, in UNDERSTANDING, and attempting to BE what GOD IS CALLING YOU TO BE, because that is what is COMING OUT OF YOUR MOTHER'S MOUTH! 

Parents are to show you the way. Yes, they may have made plenty of mistake along the way, but they dont' want you to make the same. Mothers love on you immensely, and try to keep you protected until they just can't, but even as mothers, we have to step back. There is no TOUGH LOVE in stepping back to the CHILD, it is more tough love ON THE MOTHER. 

Stop running and start realizing that your mother....means the best for you!

Motherly Wisdom #10: When Mama is DONE

When mama is done..she's done. No question about it.

My children hate, literally hate, the fact that I will cut someone off with the QUICKNESS. When you have played with my heart, my mind, my understanding and my feelings, I'M TRULY DONE WITH YOU. 

I don't have any issues with not seeing you or being in your presence. I don't have any issues with letting you live your life, if your actions and reactions have been negatively affecting mine. I have no problems with being DONE. I can love you and not be with you. 

Sometimes you have to be the parent and do those things. Ladies, if you aren't ready to cut some strings, than realize that you will always be a willing participant in the DOORMAT SOCIETY.

Motherly Wisdom #1: Stay at Home

Sometimes you need to just stay at home with your kids. Truly! It may be the Christmas season, and you want to go visit others, but sometimes you need to stay at home with your own children. 

They need you to focus on them sometimes, instead of others. Those of us that go from house to house all the time, then we do it excessively around Thanksgiving and Christmas, are the ones that want to be seen. 

It is truly time out for WORRYING ABOUT PEOPLE; stay home from time to time. Take care of your house because it is absolutely necessary. At some point, you have to decide that you are not a teenager and you can't get around as much as you would like. At some point you have to grow up.

Now, I'm really reflecting on the people that are somewhere every weekend, then on Christmas they are in MORE PLACES. Sit down. Stay at home. Let your children get to know you and you them. 


Home is where the heart is; if you aren't home, neither is your HEART!

Playing Catch Up: Day 34 of the 77 Day Challenge

This has been a great ride getting through this challenge. A friend of mine encouraged me to focus on ONE business during this 77 day challenge, so that was Coach Dana. Going strong and getting things scheduled has been a busy process. So, I've been playing catch up with networks, businesss associates and more.

When I started this challenge, I had deactivated my account on Face Book. Now that I am trying to write more articles and brand myself, I have reactivated in order to get the word out about ME!!! Yes, so the challenge is even more challenging because you can get caught up in the wrong conversations on that network.

Needless to say, I am working diligently to keep focused. So here we are on day 34 of the 77 day challenge, half way there! HALFWAY!

What can I tell you about the past few days? Well, let us see here: I have invested a few pennies into GREAT Network Marketing businesses. What, did I say that horrible word(s) Network Marketing? Well, as a business owner you have to do it. So, this business is not something that offers you what you dont want, it offers what every small biz owner, direct sales consultant NEEDS. A virtual office, conference room, etc! I was so excited to get involved; I was about to spend $60 a month on a webinar room where I am now spending 8.97 (see my previous blog)...

I have scheduled webinars for Coach Dana and challenges for business owners on the site.

BUT BUT BUT, I must say that I did jump and look at one of my other businesses in the past week. Faith Travel 4 U has had some upgrades to the site. I have added Hotels.com, Cruise Direct, and Sandals in the past week to help serve my customers better. These sites give you more to choose from and great deals when it is time to travel. Go there and get your travel needs met!

I didn't mean to jump over to the other business while trying to build Coach Dana, but the challenge has been challenging and rewarding.

So that is what I have been doing on the challenge. Day 34 is huge, I have to get more things organized..please watch the blog!!

There is nothing personal about getting fit and in shape! Coach Jen makes it look easy! She made a goal and stuck to it to better her health and her life. Working hard to bring this point across to others Jen tells her story on her website Personal Fit Coach:
