Loving Me

Every day there is a teaching moment about ourselves. In that moment we can discover great truths; are you ready for a truth I learned about myself?

I pray you are because it's deep.

I think about the possibility of my future king everyday, but in those thoughts, I have a challenge with whom I am; at least I did before this weekend. I woke up Friday morning saying LORD, I want to fall in love with me all over again.

It started with these great pictures I took of myself where I said YES, I'M HOT. Then, I went too far. I felt as if I was lusting after my own beauty. Through the night, the Lord chastise me and put me on track. I had to repent after whooping. I had to fast. I had to pray.

"Loving me was not a bad thing; lusting after me was."
There are things we do in our lives that will cause us to sin. In that sin, we could lose connection with our ALMIGHTY FATHER. I am thankful Jesus thought so much of me to come and say, GET RIGHT GIRL, repent now. If He hadn't come, I would be lost. Lost as I go into 2018 working from 2017 instructions.

It's okay to love you.
It's okay to say hey I LOOK GOOD.
It's not okay to lose sight of whom God is in our lives.
It's not okay to sin.

I fell in love with me again. I also fell in love with my spiritual assignment AGAIN.
Recognize whom God made you to be; it starts with self!

God bless you!

Smart, Saved, Sexy: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

What exactly is being fearfully and wonderfully made? What was King David saying to the Lord at the time this prayer and praise was penned?

Psalm 139:14New King James Version (NKJV)
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

I believe the King knew, despite his many flaws God made him GREAT! Yet, it doesn't stop with how God made the King but how HE created all of us!

I suggest finding the biblical definitions of fearfully and wonderfully to come to full conclusion what King David was trying to convey but here, for this text, I'll share my thoughts (and what I agree with):

In the original Hebrew text of the Bible, the word fearfully means: with great reverence, heart-felt interest and with respect. The word wonderfully means: unique, set apart, marvelous (darlingmagazine.org)
So what is your Fearfully and Wonderfully made story? Are you Naked, Unafraid and ready to tell it?

Telling your story is helpful to another and can provide you with release! God bless you!

Author on a Mission

This interview is long over due. Tonya Franklin is a blessing in the Christian Authors  industry as she doesn't hold her tongue, doesn't stop pursuing God's purpose, and doesn't stop trying to encourage others. One of the best things you can do right now is read her story.

"I Speak. To Empower"

Tonya is the author of Good Customer Service Tips for Entrepreneurs
as well as Women on Purpose: Bible and Business,
and the new powerful fiction release, Devil in Disguise.

She has served as a contributing writer for numerous publications such as:
Million Moms in Action, SpeakWoman Magazine,
as well as an professional expert with BrandHer P.e.a.r.l.
And has been spotlighted in Ann Marie Bryant’s Reader’s Café,
Reading on the Edge Book Club,
and B.R.A.B. (Building Relationships Around Books).

How long have you been writing? Nearly 30 years. But I didn't take the plunge to become a published author until 2 years ago.

How many published works do you have? I have three.

What is the genre you focus on? I have various focuses. My first book was on customer service (business development), my second book was on women and business (spiritual and professional development), and my current release is Christian fiction.

What were you focusing on with this particular book? With my current release, I wanted to focus on the development of Christian relationships. Sometimes it is easy to see inward looking from the outside. I wanted to switch that view, and give readers a look from within.

Any new releases? I have two coming this summer. One is a devotional and the other is my first Christian mystery series release.

As a writer are you also a speaker? Yes, I have been speaking for 15 years. Last year I decided to add it to my author brand, to seek more exposure and opportunities in speaking. As a speaker, I cover spiritual and professional development topics.

What would you like to tell new writers/authors to motivate them?

Don't be afraid of the journey to discover your passion, and when you find it, walk in it. And don't listen to those who say "you can't". Every invention or idea was once upon a time impossible. If God gives it to you, do it. Write your journey; everyone's point of view is based on their own individuality and experience.

Thank you so much for stepping into the life of Tonya Franklin. B.A.D. will be interviewing her on BLOG TALK RADIO during the Christian Author Expo in October. Ms. Franklin's website and contact information are listed below!

I was Her....Olivia Pope

How did I get here with this title? I made a discovery in the past 30 days for which I may need counseling for but, nonetheless, a discovery. I realized I was Olivia Pope; the fixer, the caregiver, the saver, the....WOMAN.

Being a woman is a given; but some women find themselves weak. Olivia, gets weak, and then REVERTS BACK TO BEING STRONG. Where does that strength come from? It comes from being the fixer, the caregiver, the saver; it comes from being the best at the best of what we do and not what we're not.

I was her; Olivia Pope. I AM HER.

No, not in seasons, of course; but seasoned. Being seasoned is experience. I am HER. I am the one who MOVES MOUNTAINS for people and then I have MORE EXPERIENCES because of my mountain-moving abilities.

I am her; I don't even regret being her.  Why? Our lives are wrapped around what other people say about us, even think about us, and we should have no regrets about what we've learned. Our lives have knowledge and wisdom wrapped into them NO MATTER HOW GOOD OR BAD they have been.

HERE'S YOUR MESSAGE:
Never have regrets. Never ever have regrets, because you can't learn if you have regrets. You can't see God in your life if you have regrets. If you are offered another day, another morning, you don't have time for regrets. You have time for lessons. You have time for experiences. You have time for LIFE, HEALTH, and STRENGTH.

You are a GLADIATOR (Olivia's team). A gladiator is a person who engages in a fight or controversy. Don't turn away from controversy or fight.

"My white hat is bigger than your hat."
Olivia knows what she is worth, and she refuses to accept anything lower.

I'm not TOUGH as NAILS

I'm not.

I don't feel tough.

I feel squishy.

Kind of out of shape.

Speak what I think.

But I'm not TOUGH AS NAILS.

I am DANA WILLIAMSON. Just me. Just life. Just ministry.

But I'm not TOUGH AS NAILS.

Can we answer what is TOUGH AS NAILS anyway:
(as) tough as nails. also (as) hard as nails. strong and very determined: She is a warm and friendly person, but she is also as tough as nails at work. (Definition of “(as) tough as nails” from the Cambridge Academic Content Dictionary © Cambridge University Press)

I can't even imagine why someone would say I'm tough as nails when my transparency is real and I am weak. Not weak in the sense I can't handle this but weak in the sense of HUMILITY. I am not tough as nails, but I am somebody. I am important to somebody. God didn't pull me out to put my in a rut.
I'm tough, no, BUT Oh yes, IM STRONGER THAN YOU THINK.

Nehemiah 8:10New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Joshua 1:7New King James Version (NKJV)

Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
I know the word.
I don't curb the word.
I don't lie about what I feel.
I don't tell the devil everything.
I AM DANA WILLIAMSON.
I come from a family of entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, gun toters, criminals and B.A.D. WOMEN
Tough as Nails? No
Strong..Yes...I am somebody.
You're not even invited to the table.

“I am many things, stupid is not one of them.”

They are a non-factor. Why are you worried?

Smart, Saved & Sexy: The day Abstinence and Celibacy Met UP

Abstinence meaning:
ab·sti·nence
ˈabstənəns/Submit
noun
the fact or practice of restraining oneself from indulging in something,

Celibacy meaning:
cel·i·ba·cy
ˈseləbəsē/Submit
noun
the state of abstaining from marriage and sexual relations.

In may of 2012 I enjoyed my last intimate act with the person I said 'I Do' to; not only to him but to anyone. I decided at that point because our lives as husband and wife were on a downward spiral letting go sexually was the start of letting go mentally and spiritually. He didn't notice. God had.
Abstinence and Celibacy have two different meanings but, depending on your life, help with one thing: being prepared for what God has for you(us) in the long run which is our end result.

In the midst of this, I share with you TODAY the realities of both from the perspective of a single woman. When I made the decision in 2012, I did so in order to see what my then husband would say or do, because he did nothing it was easy for me to understand and see my lot in life as a woman chosen for ministry and a higher calling. I was able to see and hear what God was saying to me and the assignment at hand. You do realize four years ago I made this spiritual pact. I anxiously await my future king, but I serve God first while waiting.

Today Abstinence and Celibacy have met up. I am sharing this with you because the choices we all must make in our singleness is vital to the doors that must remain closed until our God ordained husbands show up. Doors that must remain intact until God sees fit. This is why I serve and this is why I stay in the position of prayer.

Ladies your sexuality and sensuality is in held by you in the understanding of WHOM GOD IS AS YOUR FATHER. A father will not put you in a place where you will succumb to temptation, So you have to make the choice to live according the word given us. Your temple, and your call. LINE IT UP WITH THE WORD OF GOD.

1 Corinthians 6:18-19
1 Corinthians 7: 32-40
1 Corinthians 7:2
Romans 10:17

It is my hope that you are encouraged to do what is necessary in keeping yourself pure until the time the Lord says different.

Who are you as a Woman?

As women, we are always challenged in understanding where we are to understand whom we are; I ask you today to put yourself on the other side of this question and get the answer.

WHO ARE YOU AS A WOMAN?

In my B.A.D. Queens of the Round-Table group, I continuously ask the women what they bring to the table? The table of business? The family table? or even ministry..what do YOU bring to the table?

What do you think about yourself that allows you to be EVERY WOMAN in and around your life?

I watched Unsung Hollywood with a special on Meagan Good and I was intrigued by her ups and downs in life. I was especially intrigued by her recent marriage to Minister Devon Franklin. Not that he's a minister, but, from her story, she finally received her blessed relationship.

Nonetheless, the questions isn't to determine your lack of self worth or how much you value you; it is to take inventory of what you think.

Make a list of your trials and triumphs.
In that list what are you really proud of FIRST, then make a list of the things you can deal without.
Each list makes you whom you are however good or bad it is; don't take anything for granted.

When you look at what you don't like, ask yourself what was going on in your life causing the negative outcome. If things have changed make note of what you did that caused the positive change; if it has not changed ask yourself what do you need deliverance from.

Who you are is very important to your future as well as those around you! Make note. Get help (deliverance) and move forward!!

From the Pit to the Palace: 5 Steps to Getting There Step 2

In step 1 we created a list of things we could use while in our circumstances; the things right at our finger tips. You should have made the decision to join a direct sales business, start a business or, hold a fundraiser.

Are you using any of these things? Are you working diligently to apply what is necessary? The serious part of this is to look at what you need to change in your life. Your house is too small, not enough food, not the right furniture. So what is step 2?

Step 2: apply what you've chosen for your life to go from the pit to the palace

When Joseph had to deal with his circumstances in the place he was in, I"m sure he thought of his brothers and his father. I'm sure he felt unloved and unsupported in the things he shared with them. YET, he applied what was given to him spiritually to all that was trying to work against him in the natural. He went from the PIT TO THE PALACE.

What have you chosen to do?

  • Start a business? ---do you have a coach?
  • Have a fundrasier? ---are you going to use a crowd-funding site?
  • Join a direct sales business?---do you have the small investment?

It's vital that you do the work to apply one of these choices to your life.

  • If you start a business get a coach to help you find your niche, create the structure, etc.
  • If you have a fundraiser, get someone to help you create a profile on a crowdfunding site that doesn't sound like you're begging for money.
  • Join a direct sales business that has a low investment and people are familiar with.

These are only a few examples, but you must be ready to do whatever it takes.

From the Pit to the Palace: 5 Steps to Getting There Step 1

Joseph went from the Pit to the Palace because his gifts made room for him. You have to use what you with a good heart in order to be seen. Sometimes people will forget, because they have their own agenda, but when they do, remember you its for the right time and for the right people.

Read Genesis 41: 1-57 and understand what was being done. Joseph had told one of the prisoners, after God gave him interpretation of his dreams, not to forget him. The time had come and the servant remembered. When Joseph interpreted the dream in great clarity he was taken from the prison (the pit) and put in the palace.

No matter what pits you're trying to get out of right now make the best of where you are. Make the best of the challenges by still being you.

  • You could be homeless trying to build a business, but with wi-fi, your mobile office travels. (#catchthat)
  • You could be without any money in your bank account, but with a few blogs, and self publishing, you can grow in a matter of days.
  • Your lights could be in danger of getting cut off but if you look at what you know to do, you can create a funnel of income right now from you computer.
  • Your children could worrisome, but prayer is on your side.

There are many pits we find ourselves in, ladies, but know that you can go from the pit to the place.

Step 1: look at your circumstances and make a list of how you can change those circumstances with what you have at your finger tips.

Ex. Do you need rent money? Have a dinner fundraiser or bake sale; yard sale
Do you need to create an extra income? Join a direct sales company that actually works. (Ex. Avon)

Ailsa Hardy(Stokes) Walking in God's Plan

Ailsa Hardy (Stokes) native of Chicago IL made her home in Milwaukee, WI from the age of 15 to present time, wife and mother of 3 sons. Author of two self-published books. The Plan Didn’t Work and 21 Awesome Home Based Businesses.  Also appeared  in I’m A Wife Not A Knife by Dana Neal.   Founder of Positive Directions, Inc. a ministry working with teen girls and woman to better themselves and their homes as well as their community.

How long have you been writing?

4 years

How many published works do you have?

2 books of my own and one book that I have an article or chapter in

What is the genre you focus on?

Christian non-fiction

What were you focusing on with this particular book?

My focus was to share my life experiences and to help others that may have dealt with some of the some issues, to know that with God on our side we can overcome all things.  Even though we may not understand why we are or had to experience things that are not so pleasant our lives can be used to share how awesome God is.

Any new releases?

I am currently working on two books, a children’s story and a book for on marriage.  Both books will be out summer of 2015 and will be found on Amazon.com

As a writer are you also a speaker? (please expound on this question)

Yes I  also am available for speaking engagements.  My focus is to woman and teen girls. To motivate and encourage them to not give up.  Also to share my testimony.

What would you like to tell new writers/authors to motivate them?

To new authors I would like to share, never let others take over your project.  Let your writing flow as you go. Another thing is to not focus on having enough money to get published.  There are self-publishing companies on line that will walk you through everything you need to get your work out there.  Stay encouraged and know that it’s your work that you are about to present to the world so give it your all.   To readers it would be a great help and boost to go to the site you purchased the books and leave a comment, even if it may not be that great. This lets that writer know where to improve or it give motivations to keep going.  Also as a reader of the book, if they  gave an email address for the writing, send them a note and let them know what you thinking about the book. Let them know if it helped you any way. That lets the writer know their work is doing what it set out to do.

There you have it from Mrs. Ailsa Hardy!

Ways to be B.A.D. #29: Take Risks

When you know that you need something in life, you have to understand that waiting on the mailman or anyone ELSE, is not getting ready for a positive end result. In order to take risks, you have to be willing to step out (sometimes out of the house), to do this.

A B.A.D person, we know, is BLESSED, ANOINTED AND DESTINED, but to be this BAD person, without any pause in life, is to press when you dont' want to press. Everyday, I look at my life and see how I can do things better than I have. I look at how to step out and take risks.

This picture shows stormy skies, not just cloudy, but STORMY SKIES, and a sign that says risks ahead. This is the epitome of what needs to be done regardless of what everything else looks like. The hurricanes of life will still go on, but the RISKS must be done.

As a business and lifestyle coach, I tell everyone to use their resources when building business. This means use what you have even though you dont' have any money, or you don't have any help/support.

Risks are not about looking foolish; who cares if you look foolish? Risks about ENCOURAGING SELF!

Ways to be B.A.D. #27: Don't Carry a Spirit of Fear

The Bible tells us that God didn't give us a spirit of fear. Okay, the end...

Well not exactly the end; see we shouldn't fear man, what they like and don't like, and what they say, but we should fear the LORD AND WHAT HE CAN DO. So, we shouldn't walk or carry the spirit of fear for the things, or people, of this world, but we should have so much fear of God that we press on.

What do I mean?

I mean you better be so scared of what the Lord will do that you will obey no matter the cost of any relationship. You better be so scared of God that even if people don't like you, you will keep doing what He said do.

The process is hard and trying, but is still better for you than it is if you don't adhere to the process. Being afraid in this process can also mean endure; enduring til the end.

Let us say it together, I will endure because I'm afraid of the Lord and what He'll do if I don't.

Ways to be B.A.D #21: Impact Others

Oh this is hard to share sometimes. Why? Because most people only want to impact what is happening in their own homes. They don't want to do what is necessary for everyone just the people that are closest to them.

That is not IMPACTING OTHERS.

When I consider who I am in ministry and in business, I know that what I say and do will impact others, regardless of how they make reference to me. I know that people don't like what I say, or even how i say it, but it helps them.

Will they be honest about the IMPACT?  No. Is that okay with me? Yes. I am fulfilling an assignment. I can't step back or decide not to be obedient. What is wrong with the world when we feel like because I'm hurt, I don't want to complete my task at hand? Saints don't have that choice.

So, IMPACT OTHERS.

Remember the post on don't bury your talents? This is why; you have to use those talents to impact the lives of others. Does it always happen in your house. No. It happens with everyone who is connected to you.

Get on ladies! YOU ARE READY FOR THIS.

Ways to be B.A.D. #20: Endure til the End

When you wake up in the morning, sometimes the first thing on your mind are the problems of yesterday. Let me share this with you: IF GOD WOKE YOU UP TODAY, HE MEANT TO GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY THAN YESTERDAY.

What is the problem right now? Look at what you want out of life, and ask yourself what is holding you back?

You're tired and you don't want to keep battling this problems. At what point do you trust God and say I'm not having it any more? It's not that you are not having it, it is YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET THROUGH IT. You must endure til the end.

Matthew 24:13King James Version (KJV)

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

http://www.coachdana.biz

There is a lot of patience being built in you when you endure. Yes, I know it is hard, and YES, I know that, as women, we want to be in total control of everything, but WE CAN'T.  We have to suffer through. When I tell you that I know God has a plan for me and for you, I know that the plan entails going through.

Remember we can't get our breakthrough without going through.

Dana Neal

Ways to be B.A.D #19: Do Not Bury Your Talents

There comes a time where you will have to do what is necessary, but not logical. Every time I talk to one of my men-tees, or those that are part of my assignment, I let them know that God gives us something to build on and share with others. When you don't use what you are supposed to, you are basically burying your talents.

Take for example for your life the scripture about the 10 talents; Matthew 25: 14-30. Of all the talents that were given out, there was one that buried his out of fear. Fear of the unknown. We all go through that point in our lives where we know that we have something good, but because of fear, we don't move into that GREATER DESTINY.

Destiny. Your destiny. Your talents

God didn't give us a spirit of fear. Why do we find it so easy to walk in what is unnecessary and prohibiting our growth? You ahve to be so determined for greater that you will walk SCARED. I remember the words someone said to me once, that I keep in my mind: we have to have so much fear that we will move.

Why hesitate? Don't bury your talents. d

There is someone waiting on you to do what GOD SAID, but they can't move because you haven't moved.

I sit here in my office today and I look at two buildings I should have in my possession right  now and I don't. I was too scared to make the calls that would give me the opportunity to have those buildings.

No more fear. If you know you buried those talents, DIG THEM UP!!

Ways to be B.A.D. #18: Motivate the people around you

In the past few days, I have read an article about how to be a millionaire quickly. Well being a millionaire is up my ally, but being a billionaire is  my vision and action plan.

Nonetheless, what I read had me in such awe of who I am that I knew the article was for me, and for you this day.

I work hard to motivate the people around me; not just in my coaching but also in their lives spiritually. I have tried to help people catapult them into better and greatness, but not everyone was ready for the real deal. Either way, I can't give up.

This is what I am sharing with you: MOTIVATE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU.

Encourage them to be more than their eyes can see right now. Motivate them to know that whatever is happening negatively in their lives is not where they will end up. I have motivated others, even while going through in my own life; the purpose is to help them.

There are times you will want to just shut yourself down; the times when people will pull on you for a shoulder to cry on. Give them your shoulder, and watch God give you the necessary strength to help them.

Ways to be B.A.D #17: Encourage Yourself

This is really a no brainer. BUT, I know that it is hard. Man! It's hard to realize that you might have to go BY YOURSELF, in all areas of your life. You might have to run a race alone, and WIN ALONE. I all thy getting, get an understanding.

I don't understand everything all the time, but when I know I have to do it alone, I just do it ALONE!!! I encourage myself every time I go to bed, and every time I wake up. I do what is necessary for me and I dont' even talk about it.

I know that ENCOURAGEMENT is beneficial for me and what I need to do. Let me tell you, that no matter what life LOOKS LIKE, if you wake up every morning, YOU HAVE GRACE, FAVOR AND MERCY to get through and do!

You have to pray and pray more, and just keep stepping. The moment you realize you are not moving, you are not loving on you and trying to build where you are. You have to be so in tune to YOU, that you even BROKE AS YOU MAY BE, you need to encourage yourself.

Ways to be B.A.D. #16: Understand that you are capable!

Every day I work with partners in building their business and taking care of their life. There are times where I feel so connected to them when I hear them say that they have been discouraged. Discouraged people will agree with what is said, or try to get encouraged. As a coach, I'm imploring all of you to GET ENCOURAGED; don't believe the lie.

When you understand how capable you are, you have already determined that you are blessed, anointed and destined, to work hard and build.

Consider what you want that will help you in the BILLIONAIRE, or  BREAKTHROUGH LIFESTYLE. You have to take things with a grain of salt, but push! The taste of life may be bitter, but your capabilities can supersede all that is going WRONG AROUND YOU.

What are some of your strengths and some of your weaknesses?
What are you doing to build on those strengths and diminishing those weaknesses?
Are you looking more at the weaknesses?

GET OVER IT!
Dream BIg?
Look at learning you are capable!
