From the Pit to the Palace: 5 Steps to Getting There Step 2

In step 1 we created a list of things we could use while in our circumstances; the things right at our finger tips. You should have made the decision to join a direct sales business, start a business or, hold a fundraiser.

Are you using any of these things? Are you working diligently to apply what is necessary? The serious part of this is to look at what you need to change in your life. Your house is too small, not enough food, not the right furniture. So what is step 2?

Step 2: apply what you've chosen for your life to go from the pit to the palace

When Joseph had to deal with his circumstances in the place he was in, I"m sure he thought of his brothers and his father. I'm sure he felt unloved and unsupported in the things he shared with them. YET, he applied what was given to him spiritually to all that was trying to work against him in the natural. He went from the PIT TO THE PALACE.

What have you chosen to do?

  • Start a business? ---do you have a coach?
  • Have a fundrasier? ---are you going to use a crowd-funding site?
  • Join a direct sales business?---do you have the small investment?

It's vital that you do the work to apply one of these choices to your life.

  • If you start a business get a coach to help you find your niche, create the structure, etc.
  • If you have a fundraiser, get someone to help you create a profile on a crowdfunding site that doesn't sound like you're begging for money.
  • Join a direct sales business that has a low investment and people are familiar with.

These are only a few examples, but you must be ready to do whatever it takes.

Motherly Wisdom #31: WE GAVE YOU LIFE

There is always an argument that I have with my children about what I did or didn't let them do, and my answer is I GAVE YOU LIFE.

But even in giving them life, there is never a time that I regret having them. So to encourage the child, I want you all to know that we never regret having you.

I had my daughter on Christmas day 25 years ago; she is my oldest. Then my other two were born; I got married and we all became a blended family. I have four children if anyone EVER ASKS!! I was 18 when I had my daughter; I don't regret it. The timing might have been too early, but I never gave up on thinking I would never live.

Now, even though my kids will ever understand some of the sacrifices I made while trying to raise them, I remind them that I did give them LIFE. I could have chosen to live my life first, but I didn't. I could have just only had one child, but I didn't. I'm blessed and highly favored!

It's Been a Year Since I left My Job

Ladies, in order to get the breakthrough, you have to be honest and know you need a break out. It's not about doing things out of order, but about doing what is necessary.

I know that I had to leave my job. I didn't know that it was going to be 2 1/2 years too late, with the option of still leaving. Read my blog I wrote today on my year in review.

Emotional Adultery...??

I learned something today on the program Love Worth Finding with Dr. Adrian Rogers, God rest his soul. Something about adultery, I do not think I knew.
There are various forms of adultery that we are familiar with in the bible..one of which is physical, the other is mental...but the emotional form of adultery I just learned today. Emotional...

As Dr. Rogers explained it, emotional is when you take what is in the home and share it with someone of the opposite sex. You are basically telling your business to some other party that has an interest in you(you being the man or the woman). I thought to myself "now, that isn't altogether true"...but he went further to explain, what is so simple as sharing your "heart" with someone who understands you can turn into physical adultery. You can do your best to stop it, but then, the flesh jumps in. Now does that have something to do with how spiritually rooted you are or are not? I would think so. You see, I would share my good times and bad times with family and friends. But then I heard a Prophetess Juanita Bynum say not to share your marital information with people, especially women. (being a woman; I never shared with a man, except my dad) She said you just don't take it there, because they can use it against you and take your man or ruin your marriage to their advantage.

Oh yes, Lord..now I"m listening! Duh! Slap on the forehead for me.

There are some things you keep between your spouse and yourself so that it cannot be played on in your emotions. No one knows either of you BETTER than the two that are married together. No one can make you who you are NOT, by the words of someone else. PERIOD. Why one loves the other, or why the other does what they do is a connection that happens between the two married people.

Emotional adultery was very new to me, but I understand the implications on a marriage that it has. I can take this, as Dr. Rogers said, compare it to the bible and find some comparison. The only way to stop adultery, in any form, in its tracks is to recognize that it has been done..and ask for forgiveness and move on. Does not mean you get a pass go free card, but it does mean you can try to start over from that point.

The one thing, these last days, about adultery, is the victim has to decide where do they go from here. Is it worth the starting over or just dealing with life single? Do you move forward under God's grace and try not to backslide? What do you do?

I know the bible gives us good reason to divorce because of adultery, but even then, if the Lord can heal all wounds, and forgive all past mishaps, why shouldn't the spouse? As a saved-married woman, I can say that God forgives and gives people numerous chances to get right. Marriage is not a game; but love makes choices and takes chances. Whether emotional or physical adultery is present or has been present, you have to look to the Lord for your passport to leave.

God bless...

Family Friday~~Summer is coming

The time is coming for the school year to end. What are you going to do with the kids? You can not let children sit around idlely. There minds will turn to oatmeal and they will get rebellious!

Our children usually attend the neighborhood Boys and Girl's club each summer. This is a good idea if you don't have any other answers. I was a latch key kid and staying at home got boring. Going outside looking at the same neighborhood gave me a migraine. I rode my bike to the library's neighborhoood book mobile every other week and worked during my high school years.

I believe kids need something to not only keep them entertained but also educated; looking at each other is not it!

I have also discovered, if you involve children, more, in the running of the house, not just the upkeep, they develop an interest to learn. For instance, teach the older children how to cook small dishes. This helps them to get breakfast or dinner prepared if you are ever running late. Ask them to help with the gardening, cutting the grass, laundry, or painting; get their input, not just their struggle.

Take the children to the library; at any age it is well worth it. Ask them to pick out a book or magazine that is of interest to them (within limits; no rap, no fulgarity, no sex).

Bike riding is great and not just for exercise! Ride through the park you have never been to or a neighborhood that is of interest. Allowing your children to visit diverse neighborhoods allows them to get to know others of the WORLD not just their race.

Bowling allows children to use their minds and their bodies to complete a goal. Giving them the opportunity to do two things at once and effectively doing that :)
Bowling is great exercise! Take the kids bowling once a week. Find a kid league that would be great. Something to put them first this summer.

These are just a few suggestions. You can check out my other blog http://4mykidsinc.blogspot.com for more suggestions for summertime fun and education.

Leaving the World Behind

I must say that church services were awesome today. Our Bishop preached about coming out of street life. WOW....sometimes you dont' know what your hang ups are until you see it from the spiritual. It's a dead end world if you allow yourself to be trampled on by what the world may bring. It's time to leave the world behind.

I learned, from service today, that I can allow little foxes to come in and "bother" my whole peaceful setting. Sometimes I have it together and sometimes I don't...but I know if I just lean on JESUS...I am okay..my strength comes from the word I read everyday.
Needless to say the spirit took me to Isa. 8:11-22 the topic was Fear God...(in my New Internation Version. It was funny because in the midst of the DRAMA in our lives...how many of us fear God?

I know people who smoke but in the same breath say you shouldn't play with God...but you are in bondage to smoking..I know people who are shacking.....at the same time dealing with illnesses and calling out to God why??? Well, let the spirit lead your life..stop shacking and give everything to God.

I also know me...whew! I'm not perfect..I'm not always right, but I"m making it....there are things going on in my life that I can either let harm me...or I'm going to PRAISE GOD in the midst of and know that HE IS....I fear HIM because HE can take me out...the same way HE brought me in this world.

I made a choice to leave the world behind so that I can have a foot at heavens door...I'm trying to help all that I can...I may be too strong..or too bold...but I want you to get yours while you still have time.
