Smart, Saved, Sexy: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

What exactly is being fearfully and wonderfully made? What was King David saying to the Lord at the time this prayer and praise was penned?

Psalm 139:14New King James Version (NKJV)
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

I believe the King knew, despite his many flaws God made him GREAT! Yet, it doesn't stop with how God made the King but how HE created all of us!

I suggest finding the biblical definitions of fearfully and wonderfully to come to full conclusion what King David was trying to convey but here, for this text, I'll share my thoughts (and what I agree with):

In the original Hebrew text of the Bible, the word fearfully means: with great reverence, heart-felt interest and with respect. The word wonderfully means: unique, set apart, marvelous (darlingmagazine.org)
So what is your Fearfully and Wonderfully made story? Are you Naked, Unafraid and ready to tell it?

Telling your story is helpful to another and can provide you with release! God bless you!

Ways to be B.A.D # 14: Be Equally Yoked

If you really think that being equally yoked has only to do with marriage you are not reading your Bible thoroughly,

2 Corinthians 6:14King James Version (KJV)

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Ladies, the problem we have is we think its okay to be 1/2 the person God says to be even with friends, but we are supposed to be wise in choosing our friends.

You don't have time to be walking with folks that don't agree with ALL THE WORD. An unbeliever is anyone! The person that doesn't believe in your business or ministry, is the one that doesn't believe the LORD THAT SENT YOU TO ACCOMPLISH THAT/THOSE TASK(S)
It is time that you look at every relationship you have and determine if that person (male or female)is for you; you don't have any time to waste.

Ways to be B.A.D. #6: Help Others

There are times in life that you have to know that you can be helpful. You have to know that with and in all your resources, you can help others. Its not about selling what you have or bringing people in to be members of your church/ministry; its about sharing what you know and not looking for anything in return.

God has given us many tools; these things come in the form of gifts and talents. What are you doing to share those use those tools?

1 Peter 5:3King James Version (KJV)

Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

Matthew 5:42King James Version (KJV)

42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

If God is in you, dwelling in you not only for YOUR GOOD, but HIS GLORY, you should be reaching back the same way you reached out. The same way you asked, someone is asking of you. Are you ready for the blessings if you truly aren't blessing others?

Ways to be B.A.D. #3: Study Your Bible

Every time we attend fellowship services, we hear the Pastor say STUDY TO SHOW THYSELF APPROVED; He's talking about the Bible, but some people say WHAT AM I STUDYING? Then they say, what are they studying for?

First, know the scripture completely:

2 Timothy 2:15King James Version (KJV)

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

This full verse says, a workman (servant), that needet not be ashamed(for the spiritual choices you make), rightly dividing the word of truth(knowing the real from the fake; the lie from the truth).
See, we only hear part of the verse. We have to know the FULL TRUTH, but that comes from studying. You need to know who you are and you'll find it in the word.
So what do you as you study? You ask God to give you revelation and clarity of what you are reading. You ask God to show you what to read and why. You put God first, and He'll teach you. You can't study without a teacher. #catchthat

Motherly Wisdom #12: Pray for Your Children

Pray for and with your children. Teach them how to truly trust God.

When you can get on your knees for your children you need to get on your knees with them; they can't learn if you don't teach.

In this day and time, our children need covering in every aspect of their lives. Too many are dying physically and, also, mentally. They don't know how to handle the trials of life, so they either suffer in silence or lash out. Keep them covered.

The Bible says pray without ceasing, which means, you have to KNOW that God is with you.

Never under estimate your power in your prayers, because God says to come to HIM.

Show your children how to go to the throne as well. If you study Proverbs, you will read it says to train up a child in the way they should go....never let them LEAVE HOME without prayer.

Motherly Wisdom #4: Get out of Mama's House

Look around you. Where do you live? If its house to house you still need help; If its at home with Mama you still need help; If you got the new kicks but no light, heat, rent, bills, you still need help; Help=Mama

Even if your kids are at home because you want them there and not on the streets, that's fine; they still need your help. Why? They are still at home. They are comfortable in not paying a bill, or being self-sufficient. They have no responsibilities.

But what about those that go house to house without any TRUE THOUGHT of having their own? It's disrespectful, but they need mama.

I know, that's a cop-out isn't it? You'll always need Mama; you can hear it ringing in your ears. My concern here is this: IT SHOULD BOTHER YOU THAT YOU NEED MAMA. I don't mean not love on her (them/parents), or help them, I mean, you can't buy a bag of groceries, but you need a bath and a place to sleep.

THE BIBLE SAYS THOUGH SHALT NOT STEAL.

You're stealing from Mama. Move on. You can't find your wife, holding on to MAMA!

Feed the spirit not the flesh

I have made many a change in my life in just seven days. It has been heart wrenching and hard to deal with. I have learned that I need to move self out of the way. Can't be selfish, can't be self sustaining, can't be ME. (that statement may sound selfish, but let me continue)...

There are times where the spirit will tell you to step away, and you better or get caught up in the mess that goes on in your mind. Stop feeding the flesh. Stop walking the realm of ME. (selfishness)

People that are still of the world will get it all confused. They think and speak before they pray and ask the Lord to give them wisdom. The reponse of the flesh (the controller) is mean, demeaning and not loving. No matter what the other person says.

The flesh is going to look for affirmation from the world in order to be right. Those walking in the flesh do not know that God is in full control.

So, feed the spirit! And what does that mean....getting in your word and show yourself approved. I have been lazy at this, but I will pick up the pace and get back on track! AMEN??
Taken from bible.com 2 Timothy 2:15-19 (NIV)
15Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 16Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. 17Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18who have wandered away from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his,"[a] and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

Be sure to take the time to read Chapter 3, it refers to godlessness in the last days.
Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD. (emphasis mine)

Feed the spirit, die to the flesh...do not walk the way the world walks.

Titus 3:1
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good,

Marriage Monday ----It takes two, but which two?

Welcome to Marriage Monday! Today's topic is neither good nor bad,but very thought provoking.

It takes two to make a marriage work. Today, we're talking about which two; actually, which two does it start WITH. (Follow me, it may take some time)

1. When you are a Christian married couple, both believing completely in the Lord, it's going to take you to realize what you need to do to make it. Together, you are going to have to pray and submit yourselves to God. You are going to have to repent for whatever you might have done wrong to your spouse. You are going to have to get into your prayer closets and listen to the spirit as it tells you WHAT YOU DID WRONG. When both spouses are saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, the world can't tell you what to do, only the spirit can..and following God's word....

2. When only one spouse is saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, you still have to go in prayer and listen to the Lord. Wives have a problem with starting off in prayer (honestly, I do)..and we always end up in prayer when everything has hit the fan and the divorce papers are being printed. Ladies and gentlemen, prayer is the only way out........direction from the bible is the only way IN....It's going to take the one saved spouse and the Lord to get this marriage back on track. And again, you are going to have to listen and know what to do next.

It's all about being on the right track. The enemy is going to come and attack you with all that he can when he knows you are trying to do what is right according to the word. AND you will have to be ready...whatever is important to you and your salvation the enemy will come in and try to tear it down..you have to know what to do next and start now! Don't let your marriage become a stomping ground for the devil and his army of misfits. Build your marriage up with praise, thanksgiving and worship! And Allow the Lord to move..it takes two...and make sure the Lord is one of those TWO!

Family Friday~~Reading the WORD

Welcome to family friday again!

We are here to help celebrate our families and help them grow! By growth we need spiritual as well as mental!

Take your time and study the word with your kids. I don't do it all the time; I sometimes let my son read the word to me. As a 10 year old he comes up with some very profound things that are beneficial to everybody.

Either way, here are some scriptures I think would be great to start a conversation in your house:

Proverbs 1:8
Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
Proverbs 19:13
A foolish son is his father's ruin, and a quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.
Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord
Proverbs 22:6 (Whole Chapter)
Train [ Or Start ] a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Learning and reading the word of God is never simple. It's an experience all in itself that is different for every family. Children are the people that will help us later on in life and give us the word in a new spiritual light. We love them and help them along.....it's never too late to READ the word.

Thinking Thursday~~Being IN Love Again

(click the title to either sponsor or be apart of an event for married couples only)

Sometimes when you have been married for so long, you forget how to be IN love. The bible tells us to love one another regardless of everything. All the faults, all the wrongs, all the everything!

Some verses I want to share with you are from the Lord. Guiding us in loving.

1 John 3:11-24
This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belinged to the evil on and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous. Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you. We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who hates his brother is a msurderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence henever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearrts, and he knows everything. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive frm him antyhing we ask, because we obey his commands and do wath pleases him. And this is his command; to believe in the name of his Son, jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

Song of Songs (solomn)
3:1
All night long on my bed I looked for the one my heart loves; I looked for him but did not find him.

I believe most women want to be IN love again with their husbands. Sometimes the struggles in life and and in love bring an emotional down fall and we don't know what to do.
I believe that most husbands were taught to take care of the physical, material issues in the home and that everything else would be secondary. I believe that most men, were taught that emotions didn't matter.
After so many years, each one are trying to fall in love again and not look at what happened in the past.
How do you get there? Where do you start? First, start with what love is and how it should be handled in the marriage. Second, start with what love isn't and how respectful each spouse should be to the other.
Although we choose to love, it is something we HAVE TO CHOOSE TO DO. In 1st John we are shown that if we don't love, God isn't in us.
I want to walk with the God in me instead of not. My salvation is important.
In a marriage the salvation of both are important. The light shines from the husband and wife and the kids see it. Our love to each other is helping whomever is watching us (mainly, our children, then our famiy, then our friends)

If you don't feel IN love. Fall in love again with your spouse by creating an atmosphere pleasurable to your mate.
1. Read your bible and smile with the glory of God in your heart and your mind!
2. Love your husband/wife despite the things you don't like about them
3. Respect each other
4. Read the song of songs(solomn) to each other
5. Ask God to place a new heart in you for your spouse
6. Thank them for being them
7. If you need counseling...get it!
8. Go on a retreat/conference just for married persons.

God bless you in all that you do for your marriage and your family.
