Heart of the Wife (Part 2)

"How handsome you are, my lover! Oh, how charming! And our bed is verdant." Song of Songs (solomon) 1:16

Our husbands are ours. We married them with all their good qualities and faults. We are their wives, cellulite, hair pieces and all! On that sunny, rainy, snowy day we said I do. Now what?

Well, the longer we are married, the more we have to go to the Lord and ask for a renewed heart for our husbands. Why? We love them, right? Sure, but they have habits that die hard. The have concerns where they put us second. They may not have chosen the Lord as their Lord and savior. We have to seek the Lord. He is our strength.

So ladies where is our hearts? They are in the uplifting of our husbands. Building up their characters; praising their worth..respecting them through and through. "Wives, submit to the your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior."
This submission grows out of Christian faith and encourages mutual love. (Study Bible, NIV) Whatever we give out, we give back. If we pray for husbands, asking God to change his heart, talk to his spirit etc...but praise our husbands while waiting on the Lord....how awesome things will be...amen???
God is good all the time, but requests are granted in HIS time. The heart of the wife lies in what they desire for their husbands in turn their marriages:
1. Salvation
2. ministry
3. emotions
4. forgiveness
5. a renewed heart
6. alone time..........

This list is not ground in stone anywhere, but it allows for wives to see that we are not selfish, we are here for the needs of others. First to obey the commands of our Father and second to be available in all aspects to our husbands and our families.
Pray for your husbands, love them and follow the Lord's commands from Genesis to Revelation.
