Structure

It's been on my mind~~ why does one son not eat what is given and why does one son eat too much? Well one son is growing and the other only pays attention to what's in front of him...the t.v., the computer, the mom. So I decided that the Moma has to do what is best for all the kids...even the teenager who thinks junk is a good substance for missing lunch. ??????????????

Prov. 13: 24 "He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him."

It's time that my kids had a little more structure. It's time we sat down again and ate together. We pray together in the morning...we talk about things that are important to us together...we need to eat together. 1. So I can see what is NOT happening in the mouths of my children. 2. I can get them involved in my cooking. :)

My study bible says that the "rod" imparts wisdom and promotes a healthy and happy family. (Prv. 29:17) Discipline is rooted in love. (Prv. 3: 11-12)

....and structure is not bad! Momas are to be everything to everybody with the strength from the Lord praying and prasing him all the time.

Prv. 26-27 says: She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue. {Instruct the kids on what and how to eat}....She watches over the affairs of her househould and does not eat the bread of idlesness.{keep the kids in check!, and don't talk about the family to other people.}

So, I praise God for this direction and wisdom today...because it's important that we, MOMAS, don't steer from the direction of the word. The bible is my little handbook on getting it right for my kids and myself.

Who Are you?

This post is really thought provoking and short and sweet.

Who are you?......Are you a CEO, are you a small business owner, are you a president or vice president of a company? Does it even matter who you are? Are you a child of God? Do you practice what YOU preach? How important is the other person's salvation? Do you feel that you are more important than the OTHER person...who are you? In the scheme of things does the bible say put yourself first and God will make sure you are always on top? Did God say I will give you the desires of your heart if you take care of you and only you? Who are you?

Did God put you on this earth to be better than the next person and see how good you are at it? Did God say fellowship your way and meet me at church on Sunday? Who are you? ....do you want to be remembered that way? Is the bible all about you? Is your light on? Do you know if it's on? Who are you? And are you prepared to answer when Jesus comes back today?

Obey God's Word...start by reading it.

This morning while riding to work I was taken to 1 Kings Chapter 2 verse 1-4
"When the time drew near for David to die, gave a charge to Solomon his son. 'I am about to go the way of all the earth,' he said, 'So be strong, show yourself a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in his ways and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements,, ans written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go, and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.' "

If you read God's word you will know that there are certain things you should be doing to keep on the straight and narrow. If you read God's word, you know that we are not just going day to day OKAY...people aren't just falling off the face of the earth just because of killing...the causes of the deaths and killings are end time related. Isn't it time we stop playing with God. Isn't it time we move forward in our spiritual walks, read the word and understand the biblical process?

We can't be so slow about things...the time is now...and we have to get it.

My Faith...no other option

When others give up around me I have discovered that I won't give up. My faith keeps me going. There is no other option. I have to be on point and in your face. I will not sell myself short because of what the world thinks.

What are you doing and where are you?

When you need direction you have to go to your word and let the spirit lead you. Today I was led to Obadiah. ( I already have to read my word over from Gen-Rev)...either way...Obadiah showed me that I am still not in a totally right place.

My life right now is not about me. It's about those I can tell about the Lord. Those I bring to HIM. It's so easy to say "I want to do the right thing"...but do you choose to do the right thing.

Basically, do you know that God is good? Do you know that He is the only way? You have to start your day with HIM..forget that the kids are crying..that the phone is ringing, etc.

This is the time to call out to the Lord while HE can hear..there is coming a time...where even the word.......Amos 8 verse 12 "Men will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east searching for th word of the Lord but they will not find it."

Have I put my trust in things.........or even people??

I don't know where I have been. Times have changed all around me, and I haven't paid attention to the wants and needs of others. Sometimes, I start off the day so well with prayer and conviction (yes, the spirit convicts) I don't get here to write. That will change...I'm writing today...now and forever more..(so cliche')

Let me share a scripture that I was taken to today that caused me to think.

Job 31: 24-28 "If I have put my trust in gold or said to pure gold, 'You are my security,' if I have rejoiced over my great wealth, the fortune my hands had gained, if I have regarded the sun in its radiance or the moon moving in splendor, so that my heart was secretly enticed and my hand offered them a kiss of homage, then these also would be sins to be judged, for I would have been unfaithful to God on high."

Job is saying had he put his trust in things he would have sinned against the Lord. That is wrong...put HIS trust in things...that's not faith...you can't put your faith in things in seen..

What does Hebrews say? Verse 1 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." I know the Father can do all things.....I have the faith the size of a mustard...I don't put my trust in things or people.....because the physical will fail you immensely...but the spiritual will guide you, correct you and pick you up if you let HIM....so

Where have you put your trust or better yet your faith??
